Get Lean and Stay Ready: Year Round Protocol 2.0 | DUBb FITNESS
DUBb FITNESS

Stop starting over every January.

Get Lean and Stay Ready is a year-round protocol for busy adults 35+ who are done losing the same 15 pounds every spring. Get lean once. Stay ready for good.

Start my year
One line keeps crashing and restarting. The other one never has to start over.

You know this year by heart.

You've lived it more than once. Maybe more times than you want to count.

  1. January

You go all in. New plan, new app, new promise. This time is different.

  2. March

Work gets heavy. A kid gets sick. You miss a week, then three. Nobody notices you're gone, so it costs you nothing to stay gone.

  3. June

The pool invite comes. You find a reason to sit this one out, or you go and keep your shirt on.

  4. November

The holidays roll in and you've already decided it's a lost cause until January.

  5. December 31

You make the same promise again, a little quieter this time, because part of you doesn't believe it anymore.

It was never a discipline problem.

You've proven you can work hard. Every January, you prove it again.

The problem is that every plan you've tried had an end date. Six weeks. Twelve weeks. Thirty days. And when the plan ends, so does the progress.

Your body doesn't need another start. It needs something that never stops holding you.

Now picture next October.

Not a perfect body. A body that's ready for your life, every month of the year.

The groceries come in one trip.

All the bags, both hands, up the stairs, without setting anything down or thinking twice about your back.

You say yes before you check your body.

The hike, the beach trip, the pickup game with the kids. You stop asking "can I?" and start asking "when?"

The holidays don't undo you.

You eat the pie. You enjoy the season. And on January 2, while everyone else is starting over, you're already months into the work.

Your clothes stop being a verdict.

The jeans button the same in December as they did in June. Getting dressed takes two minutes, not three outfit changes.

You trust yourself again.

Not because you found more willpower, but because you finally kept a promise to yourself long enough to see it pay off.

Where the year takes you.

Five chapters, each one building on the last, with a recovery week between them so your body keeps every bit of progress.

Weeks 1–8

Foundation

You move without bracing for your knees or your back. Getting off the floor stops being an event.

Weeks 10–17

Build

Your shape starts to change. Shirts fit differently across the shoulders, in the best way.

Weeks 19–26

Strength

The weight that scared you in month one becomes your warm-up.

Weeks 28–35

Strength-Power

You feel quick again. You move like someone years younger than the date on your license.

Weeks 37–44

Lean

The layer comes off, and you finally see the muscle you spent the year building.

Then the cycle starts again, with you stronger than you were the first time. No January restart. Just the next chapter.

What you'll never have to do again.

Walk in wondering what to do.

Your workout is waiting every time you open the app: three sessions a week, under an hour, at the gym or at home.

Guess what to eat.

You get simple daily targets and a way to build a plate anywhere, including restaurants and Thanksgiving.

Slip without anyone noticing.

Every week, you check in and a real coach replies. When you go quiet, someone reaches out.

Do it alone.

A monthly live call with Coach Larry and a community of adults in the same season of life, cheering for the same things.

Wonder if it's working.

Every eight weeks you retest and see the proof: stronger lifts, better numbers, clothes that fit differently.

Worry you're not ready.

Every exercise has an easier and a harder version. Wherever you start is the right place to start.

Coach Larry Williams Jr., smiling in a black-and-white portrait, wearing sport sunglasses and a backwards cap.
"I know the loop because I lived it."

I competed in bodybuilding for nearly ten years and placed fourth in the nation in my division. Then real life happened. After my last national show in 2015, I put on serious weight during my wife's pregnancy, the same way so many of my clients have after a hard season.

I didn't get it back with a crash diet or a 30-day challenge. I rebuilt with strength training, real food, and a plan that didn't end. I've kept it off ever since.

I'm 43, a husband, and a father of three. I built this protocol for people like us: busy, past 35, and done starting over.

Real people. Real seasons of life.

Ashley's progress photos over four months, front and side views, showing a leaner, more muscular shape.
Ashley, 4 months. She lost more body fat than the scale ever showed, because she kept her muscle while the fat came off. Her lifts are up, and her clothes fit like they were made for her.
Stephanie's before and after photos, smiling in both, noticeably leaner and more confident in the after photo.
Stephanie, 1 year. Down 35 pounds, 25 of them pure body fat. But the biggest change happened outside the gym: she learned to trust herself again, and to love the woman in the mirror.

Is this for you?

Yes, if you…

  • Are 35+ and tired of losing the same weight every year
  • Want strength that makes everyday life easier
  • Want to protect your muscle as you get older, or while you're losing weight
  • Need a plan that fits a full life, at the gym or at home

Not if you want…

  • A 30-day shred you'll quit by February
  • Two-hour workouts six days a week
  • To be yelled at to "earn your meal"
  • A quick fix instead of a lasting change

This is the last time you start.

$97
per month

Less than one dinner out a week, and a lot less than another year of starting over. Your full year of training, simple nutrition targets, weekly coach replies, monthly live coaching, and a community that notices when you show up.

Questions you might have.

I'm out of shape. Is this too much for me?

No. Every exercise comes with an easier version, and the first phase is built to rebuild how you move before anything gets heavy. You start where you are.

I don't have a gym membership.

Every exercise has a home option using dumbbells, kettlebells, bands, or your bodyweight.

How much time does it take?

Three workouts a week, under an hour each. On your other days, just stay active: a walk, a bike ride, a round of pickleball.

I'm on a GLP-1 medication. Is this for me?

Yes. Strength training and enough protein are how you protect your muscle while the weight comes off. Questions about your medication always go to your provider.

What happens after the first year?

You keep going, stronger. The cycle repeats with heavier loads and new variations, so there's always a next chapter.

Get lean. Stay ready.

The goal was never to get ready for one summer. It's to be ready for every season after this one.
